Accounts Manager

Job Description

Have hands-on experience as a Manager – F&A in a mid-sized organization, with a strong grasp of accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting , preferably from IT Sector. Are well-versed in GST, TDS, STPI, and EDPMS compliance , and can manage tasks like monthly closures, invoice workings, loan entries, AR/AP tracking , and MIS reporting . Have led teams, handled audits, and improved financial processes while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulations. Are proactive, organized, and committed to driving financial discipline and operational excellence . Core competencies Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards , Direct & Indirect Taxation , and statutory compliance including GST, TDS, STPI, and EDPMS. Proven experience in core accounting functions , financial reporting, AR/AP, and monthly closures. Effective team leader with strong interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills. High standards of integrity, ownership , and process discipline. Proficient in Zoho Books, Tally ERP 9 , and Microsoft Office tools. Level skills 1. Financial Operations & Treasury Management Oversee and ensure accurate processing of credit card payments , loan & EMI entries , and interest calculations . Manage outward remittances , bill discounting , and WCDL reconciliations , ensuring proper authorization and documentation. Coordinate banker disposal requests and support the renewal of credit policies based on cash flow forecasts and business needs. 2. Accounting, Reporting & Analysis Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close , ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Conduct P&L review of expenses , validate invoice workings , and manage weekly AR reports . Ensure regular update of the stock statement for compliance and internal reporting. Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards , and support statutory audits with timely responses and reconciliations. 3. Taxation & Statutory Compliance Supervise GST workings & returns , including LUT renewal , GST refunds , and annual GST filings . Handle TDS workings & returns , resolve TDS defaults and corrections , and ensure on-time filing of returns. Address EDPMS queries and ensure compliance with RBI reporting norms. Manage coordination for STPI certification , LOP renewal , and annual STPI renewal processes in adherence with regulatory deadlines. 4. Team Leadership & Process Improvement Lead a finance team with responsibility for resource planning , workload balancing , performance reviews , and goal setting . Provide timely training , guidance, and technical support to the team, especially in areas like GST, TDS, EDPMS, and reporting tools. Monitor tasks such as customer reminders and gratuity settlement workings for exited employees , ensuring process accuracy and customer satisfaction. Continuously identify opportunities for process automation , internal control enhancement, and improved compliance efficiency. 5. Audit & Compliance Support Liaise with statutory auditors to ensure a clean and timely audit . Assist in the implementation of new procedures , support compliance reviews, and drive adherence to industry best practices.
