Job Profile: Account Executive

Role Purpose

The Account Executive will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting, GST & TDS compliance, export documentation, and finance operations. The role requires strong working knowledge of Indian taxation laws, export procedures, and financial accounting systems to ensure compliance and smooth financial management.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Finance Operations

• Manage payables, receivables, and bank reconciliations on a timely basis.
• Support monthly/quarterly/annual financial closing and reporting.

GST & TDS Compliance

• Prepare and file GST
• Ensure proper input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation.
• Handle TDS calculation, deduction, deposit, and return filing.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory timelines and notices.

Export Process & Documentation

• Prepare export invoices, shipping bills, packing lists, and customs-related documents.
• Coordinate with CHA (Custom House Agents), banks, and DGFT for export-related compliances.

Audit & Compliance

• Assist in internal, statutory, and tax audits.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with Indian Accounting Standards.
• Support assessments and queries from GST/TDS authorities.

Support to Management

• Provide MIS reports on tax liabilities, export receivables, and financial compliance status.
• Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and banks.
• Support finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in GST, TDS, Export process, and Finance role.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Direct & Indirect Taxation (GST, TDS, Customs, RBI/Export norms).
• Hands-on experience with Tally ERP, SAP, or similar accounting software.
• Familiarity with DGFT, ICEGATE portal, and RBI export reporting requirements.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of taxation laws and export procedures.
• Excellent MS Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in compliance work.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills with banks, auditors, and authorities.
• Problem-solving attitude and strong ethical values.
