Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Accounts & Finance Executive to manage both Project Accounts and Operational Accounts for ORGO. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, managing payables/receivables, monitoring project budgets, and keeping books live and audit-ready in Zoho Books (not Tally). This role will play a critical part in ensuring financial transparency, operational efficiency, and timely reporting to management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Accounts
• Create and maintain monthly project budgets based on sales forecasts and inputs from the projects team.
• Record all payables and receivables accurately in Zoho Books (accrual accounting).
• Ensure timely processing of vendor/contractor payments and receipts from customers.
• Maintain live books with real-time P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Keep books audit-ready at all times; submit fortnightly financial reports.
• Capture and record all statutory compliance requirements (GST, TDS, IT, etc.) in payables and receivables. • Maintain bank reconciliation statements and submit monthly project performance reports.
• Coordinate with the project team for bill verification and credit notes.
• Submit daily payment reports against approved budgets.
• Prepare project cashflow projections and calculate working capital requirements.
• Submit project profitability reports and capture earnings into operational accounts upon project completion.
2. Operational Accounts
• Manage monthly operational budgets and accrual-based accounting in Zoho Books
Record all operational payables and receivables and ensure no transaction is missed.
• Process payments and receipts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain audit-ready financial records with fortnightly reviews.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations (GST, TDS, IT, etc.).
• Perform bank reconciliations and generate monthly MIS reports.
• Coordinate with HR for salary disbursement based on approved payroll
. • Maintain employee expense and reimbursement records.
• File and maintain important company financial documents (digital and physical).
Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, cost accounting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in Zoho Books (mandatory).
• Ability to maintain real-time and audit-ready books of accounts.
• Analytical mindset to project cash flows and working capital needs.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
. • Strong coordination skills with sales, project, and HR teams.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting and finance (preferably in projectbased businesses).
• Hands-on experience with Zoho Books is a must (not Tally).
• Knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian financial regulations.
• Experience in preparing financial statements, MIS, and audit reports.
