Job Description

Job Role: Sr. Executive/Assistant Manager - Finance and Accounts

Department: Finance and Accounts
Reporting To: Commercial Controller

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely collections and payments.
  • Oversee bank reconciliations, fund transfers, and coordination with banks for financial transactions.

2. Accounting Operations:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in the accounting system (e.g., Zoho Books, SAP).
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring the accuracy of ledger entries.
  • Perform variance analysis between actual and budgeted financial performance and provide actionable insights.

3. Taxation & Compliance:

  • Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
  • Handle queries related to tax audits, statutory audits, and government authorities.
  • Maintain compliance with company law provisions and other applicable regulations.

4. Budgeting & Cost Control:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets for projects and operational activities.
  • Analyze costs and implement measures to control unnecessary expenditures.
  • Work closely with procurement and project teams to maintain cost efficiency in operations.

5. Internal Controls & Audit:

  • Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure the timely resolution of audit observations.
  • Conduct internal financial reviews to ensure adherence to company policies.

6. Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with procurement, commercial, and project teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to ensure consistent professional development.

7. MIS Reporting:

  • Prepare and present Management Information System (MIS) reports for senior management.
  • Highlight key financial metrics and KPIs, such as profitability, liquidity, and operational efficiency.

8. System Improvement & Automation:

  • Suggest and implement automation in financial processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Work on the continuous improvement of ERP/accounting software.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), CA Inter, MBA (Finance), or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ years in Finance & Accounts, preferably in a construction or infrastructure company.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and taxation laws.
  • Proficiency in Zoho Books, SAP, or similar ERP/accounting software.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, team collaboration, and time management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹144,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • GST: 1 year (Preferred)
  • TDS: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Tax accounting: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Accounting: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • English and Hindi (Preferred)
