Accountant

Role Overview

The Accountant will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting the finance team in budgeting, reporting, and audits. The role requires attention to detail, strong accounting knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and maintain accurate books of accounts in line with company policies.
• Ensure timely vendor payments and reconciliation of accounts. Compliance & Taxation
• Handle GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliances.
• Prepare and file monthly/quarterly returns.
• Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits. Financial Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and cash flow statements.
• Support management with cost analysis, budget tracking, and forecasting.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor daily cash/credit transactions. Coordination
• Liaise with banks, vendors, and internal departments for smooth financial operations.
• Support procurement and project teams with financial inputs for planning and budgeting.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing / construction / engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP / SAP / other accounting software.
• Strong MS Excel and financial analysis skills.
