Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant Manager to join our supermarket retail chain team in Surat. The candidate will be responsible for managing the store’s financial records, monitoring daily transactions, reconciling purchase and sales data, overseeing salary processing, managing petty cash, and ensuring operational financial efficiency across the store. Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Record Keeping & Daily Transactions: Maintain and update daily transaction workbooks. Record all sales, purchases, expenses, and other financial transactions. Prepare daily cash and credit reports. 2. Purchase & Sales Reconciliation: Match and verify purchase data with supplier invoices. Cross-check sales reports from POS systems with inventory movement. Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to resolve discrepancies. 3. Online Payment & Banking Operations: Reconcile online payment data from platforms like UPI, credit/debit cards, and wallets. Ensure timely deposit of daily cash collections into the bank. Maintain accurate records of bank transactions and prepare deposit slips. 4. Payroll & Salary Processing: Assist HR in processing monthly salaries including overtime and deductions. Ensure accurate calculation and timely disbursement of staff wages. Coordinate with the HR Manager for statutory deductions (PF, ESIC, etc.). 5. Petty Cash Management: Handle routine petty cash disbursements for store operational needs. Maintain records and ensure accountability of all petty cash expenses. Replenish petty cash as needed and prepare monthly reconciliation statements. 6. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure GST input/output entries and TDS compliance. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Support internal and external audits with accurate and timely data. 7. Support Daily Retail Operations: Coordinate with the store manager for daily operational cash flow. Monitor financial KPIs related to store performance. Assist in inventory accounting and monthly stock valuations. Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or FMCG sector. Fresher may applied Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Excel, or other ERP tools). Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. Good understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
