Job Description – Accountant Position: Accountant Department: Finance & Accounts Location: Shivane Pune Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview The Accountant will manage daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, support taxation compliance, and prepare financial reports. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented with good knowledge of accounting principles and software tools.Key Responsibilities 1. Accounting & BookkeepingMaintain daily accounting entries in Tally/ERP/Zoho Books or company software.Record sales, purchase, payment, receipt, and journal vouchers.Manage accounts payable and receivable. 2. Financial ReportingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Generate MIS reports for management review.Support budgeting and forecasting. 3. Taxation & ComplianceHandle GST billing, filing, and reconciliation.Manage TDS deduction, calculation, and return filing.Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits. 4. Bank & Cash ManagementPerform daily/weekly bank reconciliations.Manage petty cash and ensure proper documentation.Follow up for collections and process vendor payments. 5. Inventory & Asset ManagementMaintain updated stock records and reconcile inventory.Track fixed assets and depreciation. 6. Coordination & SupportCollaborate with sales, operations, and management for financial accuracy.Provide required data to auditors, vendors, and management. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.1–5 years of accounting experience (freshers with strong skills may apply).Good knowledge of Tally, Excel, GST, and TDS compliance.Skills & CompetenciesExcellent numerical and analytical skills.Strong attention to detail.Good communication and confidentiality skills.Ability to work under deadlines.Additional Benefits / Preferred SkillsKnowledge of Zoho Books or other cloud-based accounting software will be an added advantage.Experience in FMCG/Frozen Food industry (preferred but not mandatory).Advanced Excel or MIS reporting skills.
