Job Title: Accountant – FMCG distributionship Location: Raipur, Chhattisgarh Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage all financial aspects for our FMCG business in Raipur. The ideal candidate will oversee accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, prepare reports, and support strategic planning. This role requires a thorough understanding of the FMCG industry and the ability to handle high transaction volumes efficiently. Key Responsibilities: 1. Accounts Management: Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and inventory accounting. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies. 2. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements. Analyze and interpret financial data to assist management in decision-making. Present findings and recommendations for cost-saving measures and improvements in financial performance. 3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide timely updates to management on variances. 4. Tax Compliance: Ensure timely preparation and filing of all statutory taxes, including GST, TDS, and other applicable taxes. Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance and manage audit processes. 5. Inventory Management: Monitor and reconcile inventory levels, ensuring they align with financial records. Implement best practices in inventory management to minimize discrepancies and optimize cash flow. 6. Cash Flow Management: Oversee daily cash flow management, ensuring optimal utilization of funds. Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding payments to maintain healthy cash flow. 7. Internal Controls: Establish and enforce internal control mechanisms to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud. Conduct regular audits and evaluations to maintain accuracy and compliance. 8. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Operations, and Procurement, to understand financial requirements and provide support. Serve as a point of contact for finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Proven experience (1-3 years) as an accountant, ideally within the FMCG or retail sector. In-depth knowledge of accounting regulations, taxation, and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in “Busy” accounting software and MS Office Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
