Job Description

Accounts Manager

Key Responsibilities


Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts in line with accounting principles and statutory requirements
  • Handle day-to-day accounting entries including sales, purchases, expenses, bank entries, and journals
  • Ensure proper classification and reconciliation of accounts

Month-End & Year-End Closing

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
  • Prepare month-end reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
  • Perform bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations

Statutory Compliance & Filings

  • Prepare and file

    GST returns

    (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliations, etc.)
  • Handle TDS calculation, deduction, payment, and return filing
  • Support statutory audits, GST audits, and internal audits
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations

Employee Expense & Refund Processing

  • Review and process employee expense claims and reimbursements
  • Ensure timely processing of employee refunds and reimbursements
  • Maintain proper documentation and controls for expense claims

Reporting & Controls

  • Prepare MIS reports for management review
  • Track receivables, payables, and cash flow
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls and processes
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders
  • Support finance-related queries from internal teams
  • Provide financial data and insights to management as required
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Indian taxation
  • Hands-on experience with

    GST and TDS compliance

  • Experience in handling

    employee reimbursements and refunds

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Tally accounting software
  • Experience with

    Zoho Books

    is a

    plus

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of accounts
