Packaging Structural Designer

Corugami is a sustainable materials company that provides solutions in packaging, products, and spaces through better design and manufacturing practices. We are currently looking for a creative and proactive Structural Packaging Designer to join our team in Pune. In this full-time, on-site role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of packaging projects, from conceptualization to implementation. Your main responsibilities will include creating structural designs, developing detailed construction drawings, and applying engineering principles to packaging solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure that designs are both innovative and feasible for production. As a Structural Packaging Designer at Corugami, you will: - Design and develop cutting-edge, sustainable packaging solutions for clients and upcoming projects. - Create structural packaging concepts that align with client objectives, brand goals, and user needs. - Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure packaging designs are production-ready and feasible. - Prototype and test packaging designs to ensure they meet functional, aesthetic, and durability standards. - Develop and produce packaging specifications and production-ready files for manufacturers and suppliers. - Stay informed about trends in packaging materials, design techniques, and sustainable innovations. Qualifications for this role include: - Degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, Packaging, or a related field. - Proficiency in CAD software like ArtiosCad, EngView, AutoCAD, or similar. - Strong passion for packaging design and in-depth knowledge of materials such as paper, corrugated boxes, rigid boxes, and other sustainable packaging options. - Excellent understanding of structural design principles, 2D modeling, and construction techniques. - Solid knowledge of industry trends, printing methods, and sustainable alternatives. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
