Job Summary:

The Academic Coordinator will oversee curriculum planning, academic delivery, and teacher support to ensure high standards of learning and student achievement in the school. The role involves coordinating academic programs, monitoring classroom practices, supporting teachers’ professional growth, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and implement the school’s academic programs in line with prescribed curriculum standards.
• Plan timetables, academic calendars, and assessment schedules.
• Support teachers with lesson planning, teaching methodologies, and classroom management.
• Monitor and evaluate teaching-learning processes through class observations and feedback sessions.
• Organize orientation, training, and professional development workshops for teachers.
• Facilitate regular meetings with staff to discuss academic progress and challenges.
• Ensure effective implementation of co-curricular and enrichment programs alongside academics.
• Maintain academic records, performance data, and prepare reports for management and parents.
• Work closely with parents to address student academic concerns when required.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and education board regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Postgraduate degree in Education or relevant subject (B.Ed./M.Ed. preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in an English medium school; prior coordination/leadership role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development, assessment practices, and pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic digital teaching tools.
