Your Impact
As a Product Lifecycle Project Manager (PLPM), you will take ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle, influencing key decisions on strategy, execution, and delivery for Cisco's product solutions worldwide. Your leadership will ensure products are delivered on time, meet cost and quality targets, and are supported throughout their lifecycle with effective licensing, change management, and EOL planning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve partner concerns, drive cost reduction, and champion initiatives that improve gross margins and product field performance. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to impact Cisco's bottom line and operational excellence.
In this role, you will lead software release projects and licensing strategies, oversee engineering change management, product quality, and cost controls, and run sustaining issues. You will also plan and complete EOL strategies, including risk management and supply chain evaluations, while driving initiatives to optimize gross margins, cost efficiency, and product field performance through collaboration with internal and external partners.
You will be Working with:
- Internal Teams: SW/HW Engineering, Product Engineers, Marketing, OPT (Operations Product Team), GSM (Global Supply Management), Services, Manufacturing Operations, Global Planning& Fulfilment, Finance.
- External Partners: EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) and other supply chain partners.
- Forums: Regular collaboration and discussions across IPT (Integrated Product Team), OPT, and Quality forums.
Minimum Qualifications
- You have 3+ years of experience in cross functional BU/Operations environment.
- Diploma/Bachelor graduate in Engineering or related field
- Understanding elements of Product cost including SW.
- Proficiency in Electronics/Computer/AI field.
- Knowledge on SW product lifecycle management.
- Understanding supply chain of third party SW, royalty payment etc.
- You are a quick learner who understands the current operational processes, tools/systems, and problems and who can rally the team to inspire changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong global program/project management background, including engagement with multiple geographic locations.
- Good at Presentation and Communication. Excellent communication and follow-up skills, ability to run multiple tasks, strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Have understanding of SW industry, SaaS, Cloud delivery, SW Licensing experience process.
