Job Description: Zonal Sales Manager
Position Overview: As a Zonal Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the sales function within the designated zone. Your primary responsibility will be to appoint channel partners, supervise the appointment of C&F agents, super stockists, and ensure the establishment of an adequate distribution network for the smooth flow of business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Channel Partner Appointment:
· Identify, evaluate, and appoint channel partners across the zone.
· Establish strategic partnerships to expand market reach and enhance product distribution.
2. C&F Agent and Super Stockist Management:
· Oversee the selection and appointment of C&F agents and super stockists in strategic locations within the zone.
· Negotiate agreements and manage relationships to ensure efficient operations.
3. Distributor Network Establishment:
· Develop and execute plans for the establishment of an efficient distributor network.
· Supervise the appointment of distributors to ensure comprehensive market coverage.
4. Sales Strategy and Target Achievement:
· Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives to achieve sales targets within the zone.
· Monitor sales performance and provide guidance to achieve set goals.
5. Team Leadership and Support:
· Lead and mentor the sales team to ensure effective collaboration in distributor appointment and network expansion.
· Provide training, guidance, and support to enhance team performance.
6. Market Analysis and Expansion:
· Conduct market research to identify opportunities, analyze competitor activities, and consumer preferences within the zone.
· Use insights to drive market expansion and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
7. Relationship Management:
· Foster strong relationships with channel partners, C&F agents, super stockists, distributors, and key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and sustained partnerships.
8. Reporting and Documentation:
· Maintain accurate records of sales activities, distributor performance, market trends, and sales projections.
· Prepare regular reports to provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Zonal Sales Manager or in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
· Strong leadership, negotiation, and team management skills.
· Strategic thinking with the ability to execute plans and achieve sales objectives.
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
· Willingness to travel within the assigned zone.
