About the Role
We're seeking a talented YouTube Producer to lead the creative and strategic direction of the GoldSilver YouTube channel. This remote, contractor-to-hire position offers the opportunity to shape the content strategy for a leading voice in precious metals and financial education. This position will report into GoldSilver’s Co-Host and Editorial Director. You'll work closely with him to scale our content production while maintaining the highest standards of quality and audience engagement.
This is a behind-the-camera role focused on production excellence, channel growth, and creative leadership. The ideal candidate will combine YouTube expertise with an understanding of financial markets to create compelling content that educates and engages our audience. You'll be responsible for driving significant video growth, scaling our content operations, and expanding into podcast production.
Key Responsibilities
Content Production & Strategy
- Produce and edit weekly YouTube videos, ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery
- Develop and execute comprehensive content strategies aligned with channel growth objectives
- Create compelling YouTube titles, thumbnails, and descriptions optimized for discovery and click-through rates
- Plan content calendars that balance evergreen educational content with timely market commentary
Channel Management & Growth
- Take full ownership of the GoldSilver YouTube channel operations and performance
- Drive aggressive video growth targets and scale content production systematically
- Implement data-driven strategies to increase subscribers, views, and engagement
- Analyze YouTube Analytics to identify trends and optimize content performance
- Manage YouTube Studio settings, playlists, and channel optimization
Creative Direction
- Provide creative vision for video content while maintaining brand consistency
- Develop innovative formats and series concepts to expand audience reach
- Direct filming sessions and guide visual storytelling
- Collaborate with GoldSilver’s Co-Host and Editorial Director to scale content production without sacrificing quality
Technical Production
- Edit videos using professional software with attention to pacing, visual appeal, and audience retention
- Manage all aspects of video production workflow from pre-production through publishing
- Optimize videos for YouTube's algorithm while maintaining educational value
- Handle technical aspects of streaming and recording setups
Required Qualifications
YouTube & Digital Media Expertise
- Multiple years of proven experience growing and managing YouTube channels
- Demonstrated success in increasing channel metrics (subscribers, views, watch time)
- Deep understanding of YouTube algorithm, SEO, and platform best practices
- Strong portfolio showcasing video editing and production skills
- Experience with thumbnail design and title optimization
- Podcast production and distribution experience preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
- Experience with StreamYard and YouTube Studio
- Understanding of audio mixing and color correction
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet consistent deadlines
- Field recording experience is a plus
Content & Strategic Skills
- Proven ability to develop and execute content strategies
- Strong editorial judgment and storytelling capabilities
- Experience with social media marketing and cross-platform promotion
- Data-driven approach to content optimization
- Excellent written communication for scripts, descriptions, and titles
Financial Industry Knowledge
- Familiarity with financial markets, economics, and investing concepts
