About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Windows Server

Administrator to manage and optimize our large-scale web

infrastructure. With hundreds of high-traffic websites running in

production, performance tuning, security hardening, and high

availability are critical. The ideal candidate will have strong experience

in managing Windows Server and IIS environments, with a deep

understanding of how to configure, monitor, and troubleshoot systems

for maximum uptime, responsiveness, and security.

You will play a key role in ensuring our production environment is

stable, secure, and optimized for scalability — working closely with

development, security, and application teams to support

business-critical services.

Key Responsibilities:

● Manage and maintain Windows Server environments (2008–2019

till the latest) with a focus on stability and performance in a

production setting.

● Administer and support Active Directory (AD), including

structured OU design, permission management, and compliance

with security best practices.

● Create and manage GPOs for consistent configuration

enforcement and policy compliance.

● Harden servers and services to meet enterprise-grade security

standards.

● Deploy and maintain Domain Controllers and DNS services,

ensuring robust AD replication and resolution.

● Conduct timely OS patching and manage vulnerability

remediation across production systems.

● Install, configure, and manage IIS to host and serve hundreds of

production websites efficiently.

● Perform deep performance tuning for IIS:

○ Application pool optimization

○ SSL certificate lifecycle management

○ Log analysis and traffic behavior monitoring

○ Caching, compression, and concurrent request handling

● Collaborate with dev and app teams to support continuous

deployment, ensuring zero downtime for live applications.

● Regularly perform backups, test restores, and maintain DR

readiness.

● Proactively monitor system metrics and logs to detect issues

before they impact uptime or performance.

● Document infrastructure, change logs, deployment guides, and

recovery plans.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,

or a related field.

● 4+ years of experience in Windows Server and IIS administration

in a production environment.

● Proven ability to manage and optimize IIS for high-volume web

traffic.

● Strong knowledge of Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DHCP, and

system hardening techniques.

● Skilled in root-cause analysis and incident resolution in

production systems.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

● Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, AZ-800/801)

preferred.

● Strong scripting knowledge, preferably PowerShell, for

automation and custom monitoring.

● Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps culture in Windows

environments.

● Familiarity with cloud-hosted or hybrid Windows environments

(Azure, AWS).

● Understanding of ITIL practices, monitoring frameworks, and

alerting systems.

● Clear communicator, able to document and explain technical

changes effectively.
