Warehouse Manager
inventory accuracy, picking/packing speed, manpower productivity, layout optimisation, and SOP discipline
🎯 Key Responsibilities1. Warehouse Operations & Execution
- Own
inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns
end-to-end - Ensure
same-day dispatch SLAs
for D2C and marketplace orders - Reduce order errors, RTO leakage, and packing defects
- Manage peak loads during
sales, drops, and launches
2. Inventory & Accuracy Control
- Maintain
≥99% inventory accuracy
across systems and physical stock - Implement
bin-level inventory discipline
Lead daily cycle counts, weekly audits, and monthly full counts
Identify ageing, dead stock, and mismatches proactively
3. Layout, Systems & Process Setup
- Design and continuously improve
warehouse layout
(racks, bins, fast/slow movers) - Create and enforce
SOPs
for: - GRN & inward QC
- Putaway logic
- Picking (batch / wave / zone based)
- Packing & QC
- Returns & refurb
- Drive adoption of
WMS / Unicommerce / Shopify flows
4. Team & Manpower Management
- Manage
warehouse supervisors, pickers, packers, QC staff
Define productivity benchmarks
(orders/hour, lines/hour)- Create shift planning, rosters, and peak staffing plans
- Train team on
process, accuracy, and hygiene standards
5. Cost, Productivity & Continuous Improvement
- Improve
cost per order shipped
Reduce damages, losses, and rework
Introduce Kaizen / small automation / layout optimisations
Track KPIs daily and review with founders weekly
6. Compliance, Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure safety norms, fire compliance, and material handling discipline
- Maintain clean, organised, audit-ready warehouse at all times
