Warehouse Manager

Position Title: Warehouse Manager – Paint Division Department: Supply Chain / Warehouse & Logistics Reports To: Operations / Plant Head / Supply Chain Manager Location: [Company Location] Job Purpose:To manage and oversee all warehouse operations for the paint division, ensuring safe storage, proper inventory control, timely dispatch, and compliance with company policies. The role also requires effective utilization of SAP for inventory management, billing, and reporting. Key Responsibilities:Plan, organize, and control warehouse operations for paint and related materials. Supervise receiving, storing, and dispatching of paints and chemicals in compliance with safety and quality standards. Ensure proper inventory management using SAP (MM/WM modules) – stock entries, GRN, material issuance, and billing. Monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies. Implement FIFO/FEFO principles for storage and dispatch. Coordinate with production, sales, and procurement teams for smooth material flow. Ensure warehouse safety norms (fire safety, PPE, chemical handling). Maintain accurate records of inward/outward movement in SAP. Manage a team of storekeepers, operators, and helpers; allocate daily tasks. Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and ISO audits. Optimize space utilization and improve warehouse efficiency. Prepare MIS reports (daily/weekly/monthly) from SAP for management review. Job Specification: Paint Warehouse ManagerEducation & Qualifications:Graduate / Post-Graduate (preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field). SAP knowledge (MM / WM module) is mandatory. Certification in Warehouse/Inventory Management preferred. Experience:7–12 years of experience in warehouse/store management. At least 3–5 years in paint/chemical/automotive/industrial products industry. Hands-on experience in SAP warehouse transactions, stock reconciliation, and reporting. Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of inventory control methods (FIFO/FEFO, ABC analysis). Good understanding of paint & chemical storage safety standards. Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and reporting tools. Leadership & team management skills. Strong coordination and communication abilities. Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
