Job Description

Role Overview: You will be joining a fast-growing Data as a Service (DaaS) startup in the eCommerce industry, focused on providing data-driven insights to online retailers and brands. As the Vice President of Sales, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and global expansion, leading a dynamic and customer-centric team. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy and go-to-market plan to achieve ambitious revenue goals, targeting $12M by year-end and sustained year-over-year growth. - Lead, scale, and mentor a global sales team, recruiting top talent, providing coaching, and fostering a high-performance culture. - Oversee the entire enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting to closure for key deals, engaging with clients virtually and in-person. - Establish robust sales processes, pipeline management, and forecasting to ensure a healthy pipeline coverage and accurate reporting. - Drive expansion into new global markets and verticals, identifying and pursuing new enterprise customer segments. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Data teams to align sales objectives, highlight value propositions, and ensure smooth onboarding of new clients. - Define and improve sales processes, tools, and infrastructure needed for scaling the sales organization. - Set clear performance targets, monitor individual and team metrics, and provide feedback to ensure targets are met or exceeded. - Act as an executive sponsor for major clients, cultivate lasting relationships, and represent the company at industry events. - Track and analyze sales performance data to inform strategic decisions and provide regular updates to the leadership team. Qualification Required: - 12+ years of successful B2B sales experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior sales leadership role. - Demonstrated ability to scale revenue and sales teams in a high-growth environment. - Experience leading and managing high-performing sales teams across multiple regions or countries. - Background in a startup or larger enterprise, with the ability to operate with agility and implement structured practices. - Experience in data products/services or SaaS is a plus, along with familiarity with eCommerce industry pain points. - Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. - Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets consistently. - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (approximately 20-40%).
