This role is for one of our clients Industry: Operations Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Min Experience: 5 years Location: Bangalore JobType: full-time About the Role We are looking for an operations-driven Manager – Vendor & Last-Mile Operations to lead our delivery partner ecosystem and ensure frictionless, scalable last-mile logistics. This role is critical to maintaining service excellence, minimizing operational bottlenecks, and building a reliable delivery network that meets evolving customer and business demands. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience managing hyperlocal delivery networks (2-wheelers preferred), thrives in fast-paced environments, and knows how to turn operational chaos into structured, measurable outcomes. Key Responsibilities Partner Network Management Identify, evaluate, and onboard third-party logistics and delivery vendors to meet business capacity needs. Build strong partner relationships through proactive communication, structured feedback loops, and shared success metrics. Set up, negotiate, and manage service-level agreements (SLAs) with delivery partners for consistent performance and accountability. Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key partners to drive performance improvement and strategic alignment. Delivery Operations Oversight Own the end-to-end performance of last-mile logistics—including timeliness, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Monitor daily operations through dashboards and tools; intervene swiftly to resolve delivery failures or delays. Implement SOPs and process enhancements to streamline pickup-to-drop flows across all serviceable zones. Drive on-ground operational readiness for peak periods, special campaigns, and new zone expansions. Data & Performance Analytics Leverage operational data to analyze delivery trends, identify service gaps, and uncover cost-saving opportunities. Build and present performance dashboards, daily metrics, and weekly insights to stakeholders and leadership. Establish KPIs for vendors and internal ops teams, ensuring high visibility and ownership across functions. Compliance, Contracts & Risk Ensure all vendors comply with legal, financial, safety, and regulatory norms—across documentation, insurance, and licensing. Draft, review, and manage partner agreements in collaboration with legal and finance teams. Handle contract renewals, escalations, and penalties with clarity and process discipline. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with Sales, Customer Experience, Finance, and Tech teams to translate business needs into operational strategies. Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for any delivery-partner related issues, resolutions, or escalations. Drive partner enablement initiatives like training, incentive rollouts, and app/tool adoption. What You’ll Need ✅ Experience 3–5 years of experience in vendor operations, last-mile logistics, or supply chain management—ideally in a consumer delivery, mobility, or e-commerce context. Prior exposure to managing two-wheeler delivery fleets or aggregators is strongly preferred. Skills Strong vendor negotiation and relationship-building capabilities. Sound understanding of logistics KPIs, SLAs, and delivery process optimization. Familiarity with routing logic, delivery tech platforms, and logistics CRM/ERP systems. Excellent data analysis skills (Excel, Google Sheets, or dashboarding tools like Power BI). Strong operational judgment and ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-pressure environments. Preferred Attributes Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business. A results-oriented mindset with a hands-on, ownership-driven approach. Effective communicator with the ability to align teams and vendors around common objectives.
