Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Ujjain

Educational Qualification:

• Master’s degree with specialization in one of the following:
• Transport Planning
• Urban Transport
• Transport Engineering

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the Transport Planning sector.
• Experience in managing end-to-end transport projects, such as:
• Metro corridor feasibility studies
• Comprehensive Mobility Plans (CMPs) or City-Wide Transport Strategy Documents
• Involvement in policy advisory, strategy development, and PPP-based transport projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management & Advisory:
• Manage and contribute to major transport planning projects.
• Provide strategic input for transport policy formulation, investment prioritization, and mobility planning.
• Participate in PPP procurement processes including tender preparation and bid evaluation.
• Technical Analysis & Modelling:
• Conduct traffic surveys, travel demand analysis, and ridership assessments.
• Use tools such as Excel, GIS, Python, SPSS, or transport simulation software to analyze:
• Traffic flow
• Congestion points
• Modal share and travel behavior
• Oversee and coordinate transport simulation studies and data collection teams.
• Public Transport Planning:
• Design, restructure, or optimize public transport networks (e.g., bus, metro, BRT, feeder services).
• Plan for first- and last-mile connectivity and multimodal integration (e.g., metro, bus, auto, bicycles, pedestrians).
• Identify and recommend Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) infrastructure such as footpaths, cycle tracks, and pedestrian crossings.
• Planning & Documentation:
• Prepare or contribute to Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for:
• Metro corridors
• BRTS systems
• Parking solutions
• Urban mobility interventions
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses, social and environmental impact assessments, and project justification studies.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
• Collaborate with urban local bodies, transport agencies, consultants, and community stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Key Skills:

• Expertise in urban mobility planning and transport modelling tools
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Proficiency in GIS, Excel, Python, SPSS, or similar analytical tools
• Knowledge of national and international transport planning standards and best practices
• Excellent communication and technical report writing skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,856.17 - ₹67,587.28 per month
