Transport Planner

Role Overview: You are seeking a skilled traffic/transport modeler with proven experience on major urban and infrastructure projects to join a growing team working on high-profile infrastructure and development projects across the region. You will have the opportunity to contribute to strategic modeling for major public and private sector developments, work alongside industry experts across transport planning, infrastructure, and urban design, and join a well-regarded consultancy with a strong pipeline of regional projects. Key Responsibilities: - Developing and calibrating strategic transport models using PTV Visum, CUBE, and EMME - Supporting transport studies, traffic impact assessments, and transport master plans - Analyzing outputs and providing clear, data-driven recommendations - Coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and liaising with clients and authorities - Preparing high-quality technical reports and presentations Qualification Required: - A minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant postgraduate professional experience - Demonstrable experience in transport modeling, preferably with experience on projects within the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and KSA - Proficiency in PTV Visum (essential) - Added value if you have experience in Cube, EMME, and Vissim - Degree in transport planning, civil engineering, or a related field - Strong analytical and communication skills - Deep understanding of transport model development, modeling principles, transportation planning, public transport, transit-oriented development, and urban planning policies - Ability to present transport modeling outputs to authorities and stakeholders - Experience providing junction analyses to support traffic impact assessments - Competence in programming software such as Power BI, VB, and Python - Capable of working with limited supervision - Able to prepare transport modeling reports, technical notes, and reports Additional Details of the Company: WSP values its people and reputation, making extraordinary efforts to attract, develop, engage, and retain the best professionals in the field.
