SYSTRA has Design and supervision experience of about 40 km of bridges as part of 96 road and highway projects .We are seeking applications for the position of Traffic and Transport Engineer for Mumbai Coastal Road ProjectMissions/Main Duties
- Analyse and model traffic flow and transportation systems
- Design road layouts, intersections, and traffic control measures
- Develop and evaluate transportation plans, policies, and strategies
- Conduct traffic and travel surveys, including data collection and analysis
- Assess the impacts of new developments on transportation networks
- Prepare and review transportation studies and reports
- Recommend improvements for road safety and traffic efficiency
- Oversee installation and operation of traffic signals, signage, and road markings
- Use transport modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, SYNCHRO, TRANSYT)
- Coordinate with local authorities, stakeholders, and the public
- Ensure compliance with relevant transportation standards and regulations
- Advise on sustainable transport solutions and public transit systems
- Estimate project costs and prepare budgets
- Supervise fieldwork, site investigations, and implementation of transport schemes
- Prepare technical documentation and presentations for meetings
Profile/Skills
- Proficiency in traffic analysis and transport modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, SYNCHRO, TRANSYT, SIDRA)
- Solid understanding of traffic engineering principles and practices
- Knowledge of transportation planning and policy development
- Ability to conduct and interpret traffic and travel surveys
- Data analysis and statistical skills
