Missions/Main Duties On-Site Supervision & Quality Control: Directly supervise all civil construction activities (e.g., excavation, deep foundations, concrete works, structural erection, waterproofing) within the station, ensuring strict adherence to design specifications, drawings, and quality standards. Method Statement Review & Approval: Review and approve contractors' method statements, work plans, and technical submittals, ensuring proposed construction procedures are safe, efficient, and compliant. Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Closely monitor construction progress against the project schedule, identify potential delays or issues, and prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports for stakeholders. Technical Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical queries on-site, providing immediate solutions or escalating complex issues to the design team for resolution. Safety & Environmental Compliance: Enforce rigorous health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site, conducting regular inspections and ensuring all works are carried out safely. Inspection & Documentation: Conduct regular site inspections, witness tests, and maintain comprehensive records of all construction activities, including daily diaries, inspection reports, and as-built documentation. Profile/Skills Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering Minimum of 15 years’ experience in UG/Tunnel construction in Metro/Railway and worked as Resident Engineer/ Sr. Engineer for a period of 3 years. OR At least 5 years’ service in Sr. Scale & above in Civil Engineering Department or in equivalent grade in Indian Railways/ RITES/ IRCON/ RVNL or equivalent grades in Konkan Railway/ MRVC/ DFCCIL/ any JVs/ SPVs with Ministry of Railways, any Metro Rail Corporation either individually or combined. Technical Expertise & Analysis: Providing technical leadership, conducting advanced structural analysis (e.g., FEM modeling for soil-structure interaction), and ensuring structural integrity, especially for deep excavations and complex underground conditions. Coordination & Integration: Collaborating extensively with multi-disciplinary teams (geotechnical, architectural, MEP, systems) to ensure seamless integration of civil designs and resolve interfaces. Missions/Main Duties System Design & Specification: Leading the design of crucial electrical systems like traction power (e.g., 25kV AC or 750V DC), auxiliary power (for stations, lighting, HVAC, escalators, lifts, pumps), signaling, communication, and SCADA systems. This includes specifying equipment, cable sizing, and protection schemes. Technical Analysis & Compliance: Performing load calculations, short-circuit analyses, earthing system designs, and ensuring all designs comply with relevant national and international electrical codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE, BS, NFPA), and railway safety regulations. Integration & Coordination: Collaborating with civil, architectural, mechanical, and other design teams to seamlessly integrate electrical systems within the complex underground environment, resolving any interface issues. Quality Assurance: Reviewing and approving all electrical drawings, schematics, technical documents, and calculations to ensure accuracy, constructability, and adherence to quality standards.
