Job Description

Tower Design & Estimation Engineer/Manager


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare

    design calculations, structural analysis, and detailed tower drawings

    in compliance with IS/IEC/International standards.
  • Develop

    BOQ, BOM, and cost estimations

    for tendering and project execution.
  • Evaluate client specifications, tender documents, and provide

    technical & commercial proposals

    .
  • Coordinate with

    engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site execution teams

    to ensure alignment of design with project requirements.
  • Perform

    load analysis, proto development support, and optimization of tower design

    for cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead the

    estimation process

    for domestic and international transmission & substation projects.
  • Conduct

    feasibility studies, risk assessment, and value engineering

    for new projects.
  • Support

    planning, scheduling, and resource management

    to meet project deadlines.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and third-party inspection agencies for

    design approvals and clarifications

    .
  • Implement

    ERP/SAP systems for estimation, planning, and inventory management

    .
  • Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with

    quality, safety, and environmental standards

    .


Desired Candidate Profile

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering

    (Master’s in Engineering preferred).
  • 05–12+ years of experience in

    Tower Design, Estimation, and Project Planning

    in Power Transmission / Telecom Tower industry.
  • Hands-on expertise in

    design software (STAAD, PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, MS Tower)

    and

    ERP tools (SAP/JDE)

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    international standards

    (IS, IEC, ASCE, ASTM, etc.).
  • Experience in

    global tendering & estimation

    for OHTL, Substations, and Telecom Tower projects.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
