We are a fully-fledged diplomatic mission and represent the European Union in dealings with the Armenian government in areas that are part of the EU’s remit.
We offer
The post of Policy Officer (Local Agent Group 1) in the Delegation’s Political, Press and Information Section. The team consists of 7 people and there are occasional atypical working hours.Under This Post, The Recruited Person Will Be Attributed Functions Depending On The Needs Of The Delegation, And On The Changes Of These Needs. The Successful Candidate Will Serve Under The Supervision And Responsibility Of The Head Of The Political, Press And Information Section, Providing Support, Expertise And Assistance In Political Reporting, Organisation, Coordination, And Outreach Of The Delegation Such As
- Bilateral relations and implementation of the CEPA and the New Partnership Agenda;
- Visa Liberalisation Dialogue; Human Rights Dialogue ;
- EU political and security involvement in Armenia and the region (European Peace Facility, EUMA, Security Sector Governance etc.);
- High-level visits;
- Parliamentary elections;
- Civil society, local think-tanks.
Following Main Tasks And Duties Are Currently Required
- Monitor and report on political developments in Armenia, providing regular updates and analysis to the Delegation.
- Assist in drafting political reports under the supervision and responsibility of an expatriate staff member
- Prepare briefing notes, and background papers on key political issues and events.
- Support the organization and coordination of meetings, events, and visits related to political affairs, including liaising with local stakeholders and officials.
- Draft minutes from the meetings.
- Conduct research and gather information on political trends, policy changes, and relevant legislative developments in Armenia.
- Contribute to the Delegation’s communication efforts by drafting content for report, notes, press releases, social media posts, and public statements related to political issues.
- Maintain and update databases and records related to political reporting and analysis.
- Coordinate responses to inquiries from media and the public on political matters.
- Provide administrative support to the Political, Press, and Information Section as needed, including scheduling, correspondence, and document management.
- Propose project ideas, evaluate external proposals, and oversee the procurement process and full project management, in close coordination with Administrative Section of EUDEL.
- Replace other Local Officer in their absence.
Other tasks might be assigned to the Policy Officer in the interest of the service and attributed by the Head of Delegation or the Head of Political, Press and Information Section and their substitutes.The base salary will depend on relevant and verified employment experience, typically starting from 18,247,151 AMD/year. There is a competitive benefits package, subject to certain conditions, including personal leave days and public holidays, health insurances and a retirement savings plan.The expected start date will be 01/11/2025.
Minimum requirements / eligibility criteria (necessary for the application to be considered)
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in political science, international relations, law or similar.
- Minimum three years job-related experience
Knowledge Of Languages
- English – ability to understand C1, ability to read C1, ability to speak C1, ability to write C1.
- Armenian – ability to understand C1, ability to read C1, ability to speak C1, ability to write C1.
- Russian - ability to understand C1, ability to read C1, ability to speak B1, ability to write B1.
- Computer literacy
- Right to reside and work in Armenia

The process
