Detailed Job Description – Electrician ISI Executive Designation: Electrician ISI Executive Department: Quality Control / ISI Testing Location: — Reporting To: Quality Manager / Compliance Head 1. Role Overview The Electrician ISI Executive is responsible for ensuring that all electrical products such as switches, sockets, wires, spike guards, boards, and other electrical accessories meet ISI and BIS quality standards. The role includes detailed testing, inspection, documentation, approval, and reporting to maintain consistent product quality and safety. 2. Detailed Key Responsibilities A. Electrical Product Testing • Perform complete electrical testing of switches, sockets, wires, spike guards, and related electrical items. • Check load capacity, voltage performance, insulation resistance, continuity, and durability of products. • Conduct mechanical testing such as switch operations, torque checks, and physical defect identification. • Ensure all testing follows standard ISI and BIS protocols. B. ISI & BIS Standard Compliance • Verify that all tested products comply with ISI safety and quality standards. • Maintain updated knowledge of BIS guidelines related to electrical items. • Ensure batch-wise inspection and compliance documentation is properly maintained. • Assist in external and internal audits related to ISI certification. C. Product Approval & Quality Assurance • Approve only those products that successfully pass all quality and safety checks. • Reject non-conforming items and record defects clearly with observations. • Coordinate with the production team to resolve repeated defects or quality failures. • Provide suggestions for process improvement to enhance product performance. D. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain daily testing reports, batch records, defect logs, and inspection sheets. • Prepare ISI-format documentation required for audits and compliance checks. • Submit timely quality reports to the QC Manager. • Ensure that all test data is accurate, traceable, and properly filed. E. Tools & Equipment Handling • Operate and maintain testing tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, load testers, and voltage testers. • Ensure calibration and proper functionality of all testing equipment. • Report equipment malfunction immediately and ensure regular servicing. 3. Skills & Qualifications • ITI / Diploma in Electrical (mandatory). • Knowledge of ISI and BIS testing parameters. • Experience in electrical product quality inspection. • Ability to identify technical faults and defects accurately. • Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols. • Good documentation and reporting skills. 4. Core Competencies • Detail-oriented and quality-focused approach. • Analytical and problem-solving mindset. • Strong technical judgment. • Discipline and adherence to safety norms. • Team coordination and communication skills.
