The ideal candidate for this position will have 2+ years of experience in software testing with expertise in testing Rest API, web, and mobile-based applications that reference database back-end systems. You will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging, defining corrective actions, and writing reusable automated tests to expand test coverage efficiently. Additionally, you will review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Experience in manual and automation testing is required, along with a strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and the testing process. Proficiency in Test Management and Defect management tools like JIRA and QAC is preferred. The ability to reproduce, debug, and isolate problems, as well as verify fixes, is essential. Strong SQL knowledge for testing back-end data and familiarity with Linux are also important skills for this role. The successful candidate should be able to estimate their own testing tasks, work productively with minimum supervision, and demonstrate an excellent team attitude.
