Role Overview:-

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Test Engineer with 5-8 years of experience to join our team, focusing on the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and Corporate Banking domains. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, excellent analytical skills, and a solid grasp of financial products and processes within these areas. This role involves designing, executing, and automating test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of critical applications supporting our DCM and Corporate Banking operations.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and product owners to understand requirements and define comprehensive test strategies and plans for DCM and Corporate Banking applications.

• Test Case Design & Execution: Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases (functional, integration, regression, performance) based on business requirements and technical specifications.

• Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using relevant tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

• Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and prioritize software defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting.

• Domain-Specific Testing: Focus on testing systems supporting Debt Capital Markets (e.g., bond issuance, syndication, trading support) and Corporate Banking (e.g., lending, trade finance, cash management).

• Financial Product Knowledge: Apply understanding of financial products and processes relevant to DCM and Corporate Banking during testing activities.

• Performance & Security Testing: Participate in performance, load, and security testing activities as required.

• Collaboration: Work effectively within an Agile team environment, collaborating with developers, business analysts, and other QA engineers.

• Reporting: Generate clear and concise test reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics for stakeholders.

• Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills and Experience:-

• Experience: 5-8 years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance roles.

• Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of various software testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Test Case Development: Proven ability to design, write, and execute effective test cases.

• SQL Proficiency: Solid experience with SQL for data validation, test data preparation, and backend testing.

• Test Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, UFT, TestComplete).

• Domain Expertise: Proven experience working within the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and/or Corporate Banking domains.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify root causes of issues.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate findings and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Programming/Scripting: Basic programming or scripting knowledge (e.g., C#, Python, Java) for automation purposes.

• Performance Testing Tools: Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

• API Testing: Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).

• Version Control: Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Cloud Platforms: Exposure to testing applications deployed on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, OCI).

• Financial Certifications: Relevant financial certifications are a plus.
