Job Objective
The Digital Technology & Innovation Coach is a key member of the Pedagogical Leadership Team, responsible for elevating teaching and learning through the purposeful, innovative, and ethical integration of technology.This role supports teachers, leaders, and students in using technology to enhance inquiry, creativity, collaboration, research, problem-solving, and responsible digital citizenship. It is a
non-evaluative coaching role
founded on trust, professional growth, and partnership, with a strong emphasis on guiding the community in the
responsible use of AI
.
Primary Responsibilities
- Instructional Leadership & Teacher Support
- Collaborate with teachers across grade levels to integrate technology meaningfully into curriculum frameworks and inquiry programs.
- Design and model inquiry-based, technology-enhanced learning experiences.
- Use a coaching cycle to provide personalised teacher support that improves instructional practice and student outcomes.
- Co-plan, model, and co-teach lessons involving digital tools and platforms.
- Observe lessons and provide reflective feedback.
- Embed digital literacy, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in everyday classroom practice.
- Mentor staff on assistive technologies and differentiation tools.
- Collect impact data from coaching cycles to inform professional learning priorities.
- Curriculum & Programme Development
- Lead the development and improvement of a comprehensive Digital Literacy Curriculum aligned with school frameworks and international standards.
- Ensure technology integration strengthens inquiry, ATL skills, collaboration, and conceptual understanding.
- Curate and recommend digital tools, apps, and platforms.
- Collaborate with coordinators and subject leaders to support transdisciplinary learning and student agency.
- Implement and review the Digital Citizenship Framework to ensure safe, ethical and consistent practices.
- Data & Assessment
- Support teachers in using digital tools for formative/summative assessments, progress tracking, and feedback.
- Guide staff in using assessment data to inform planning and enhance learning outcomes.
- Promote the use of dashboards and analytics for identifying trends and improving practice.
- Implement digital portfolios to document student progress.
- Assess the impact of coaching through data analysis, reflection, and feedback.
- Professional Learning
- Design and facilitate engaging professional development workshops on technology integration and innovative pedagogy.
- Support teachers in meeting professional growth goals related to digital learning.
- Stay up to date on global edtech trends, best practices, and research-based approaches.
- Lead Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) focused on effective use of technology.
- Provide access to resources and tools to support teaching and learning.
- Community Engagement
- Guide students in becoming safe, responsible, and ethical digital citizens.
- Teach age-appropriate digital skills for research, collaboration, and creative expression.
- Plan and lead parent workshops on digital citizenship, online safety, and digital wellbeing.
- Support families in encouraging responsible technology use at home.
- Organize exhibitions and showcases to celebrate student innovation.
- Professionalism & School Contribution
- Lead the deployment and ongoing refinement of the school’s Technology Vision and Strategic Plan.
- Model curiosity, adaptability, and lifelong learning in technology use.
- Build collaborative, trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by school leadership.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and role-specific excellence.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Technology Integration, Engineering, Design, or related field.
- Significant teaching experience with strong technology integration expertise in an international school context.
- Hands-on experience with makerspace or fabrication tools (e.g., 3D printers, laser cutters, soldering tools, power/hand tools).
- Basic understanding of electronics, sensors, microcontrollers (e.g., Arduino).
- Working knowledge of CAD applications such as Tinkercad or Fusion 360.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Fluency in English and Hindi (spoken and written).
- Minimum 2 years of stable work experience in a school environment.
- Experience in a makerspace, fabrication lab, or education technology setting.
- Commitment to fostering innovation and responsible digital citizenship.
