Job Description: Technology Consultant IT – WindchillPosition: Technology Consultant IT – Windchill Experience: 6 – 10+ Years Employment Type: [Full-time / Contract] Role OverviewThe Technology Consultant IT – Windchill is responsible for providing technical leadership and execution in the areas of Windchill customization, configuration, migration, and debugging. The role requires hands-on expertise along with mentoring capabilities to guide development/support teams. This position involves close collaboration with business analysts, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure delivery of high-quality PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solutions while aligning with business requirements and industry best practices. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute Windchill customization, configuration, migration, and debugging activities. Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members in sprint story implementation and issue resolution. Develop, review, and maintain custom code, scripts, and tools for Windchill (integrations, plugins, automation utilities). Oversee and participate in data migration operations, including extraction, transformation, validation, and error handling. Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and compliance with configuration management/change control processes. Collaborate with functional consultants and business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. Support system and business administration activities (roles, access management, workflow configuration). Troubleshoot and resolve customization, integration, and performance-related issues in Windchill environments. Prepare and maintain technical documentation (design documents, test cases, deployment guides). Participate in requirement gathering sessions, solution design workshops, and user demonstrations. Stay updated on Windchill releases, patches, and emerging PLM technologies. Required Skills & QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with Windchill PDMLink, MPM Link (exposure to SIM is an advantage). Proficiency in Windchill APIs, Customization, and Reporting Frameworks. Solid understanding of the Windchill Data Model, Data Migration, and Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM). Experience in Windchill Business & System Administration tasks. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in complex PLM environments. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Experience Range: 6–10+ years in Windchill PLM technical roles.
