THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an experienced

Technical System Administrator

with

3+ years of expertise

in IT systems, networks, and helpdesk support. You will be responsible for ensuring the

reliability, security, and performance

of computer systems, servers, and networks that power XenonStack’s operations.This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy

problem-solving, infrastructure optimization, and hands-on support

, while also mentoring IT support staff and implementing IT best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • System & Network Administration
    • Monitor and maintain company servers, networks, and endpoints.
    • Configure, upgrade, and install hardware and software to meet business needs.
    • Implement IT security protocols and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Helpdesk & User Support
    • Provide Tier-1 and Tier-2 helpdesk support to employees for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
    • Create and manage user accounts, access controls, and permissions.
    • Design and maintain efficient feedback and error reporting systems for end-users.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance
    • Perform diagnostic tests and debug system issues to ensure smooth operations.
    • Resolve network outages, performance bottlenecks, and security threats.
    • Maintain IT documentation, backup policies, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Data Management & Security
    • Ensure data is backed up regularly, archived securely, and retrievable in emergencies.
    • Support data recovery operations as needed.
    • Stay current with cybersecurity best practices and emerging IT threats.
  • Team & Process Management
    • Supervise, mentor, and guide IT support staff.
    • Document IT processes, configuration changes, and incident logs.
    • Continuously improve IT systems and recommend new tools or processes.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator, IT Administrator, or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments, networking (LAN/WAN), and cloud fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with system security, firewalls, and access control.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation abilities.

Good-to-Have

  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of automation/scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or RHCSA.
