Job Summary:
The Group Head of PMS is responsible for the strategic oversight, management, and optimization of the Planned Maintenance System across the company's global fleet. This role is a blend of technical expertise and digital ecosystem and ensures seamless PMS operations, regulatory compliance, effective audits, and robust support to maintain vessel reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

Develop and implement comprehensive PMS strategy aligned with company objectives and industry standards - on below areas (indicative, but not limited to):
- Technical Data:
- Ensure effective implementation and execution of PMS processes across all vessels, including maintenance scheduling, task tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure that the PMS complies with all relevant maritime regulations and industry standards incl. IMO, ISM Code, Flag state requirements etc.
- Analyse maintenance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders, including technical, marine and QHSE superintendents, vessel crew, IT teams and vendor as needed.
- Ensure Compliance is adhered to by shore and vessel crew in reporting standards as defined by company guidelines, regulatory and industry standards to ensure Audit preparedness. Oversee internal and external audits to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical and operational support to vessel crews and shore-based teams on PMS-related issues.
- Report PMS performance metrics and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
Systems Management:
- Evaluate current ERP systems for operational needs, and ensure it is suited to business needs, including dynamic needs of any statutory/regulatory amendments in the industry.
- Oversee the integration of PMS with other operational systems to enhance fleet performance.
Technology and Innovation:
- Leverage data analytics / predictive maintenance technologies to improve fleet reliability.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to ensure PMS remains cutting edge.
People Management:
- Lead a team of PMS professionals fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that the team is correctly staffed with right level of competencies as per business needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Marine Engineering. A masters degree or an MBA is a plus
- Relevant certifications: Class 1 Certificate of Competency, ISM Auditor.
Experience -
- Minimum 10-12 years in maritime operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role managing Maritime Digitization projects that blends technical expertise with digital ecosystem.
- In-depth understanding of ship operations, maintenance practices and regulatory requirements in the maritime industry.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate global teams, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and drive operational excellence.
- Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
