Position Name: Engineer/Sr.Engineer WHRB DCS Operation Position Code: CPP - 602 Department: Captive Power Plant (CPP) Sub-Department: Boiler Operations WHRB Grade: F1/F2 Reporting to: Deputy General Manager - Boiler Operations Role Objective: To operate and monitor Waste Heat Recovery Boilers (WHRB) through the Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable steam generation while complying with environmental and safety standards. Role Responsibilities: Operate and monitor WHRB equipment and systems to ensure efficient steam generation. Monitor critical boiler parameters, including pressure, temperature, and water levels via DCS. Conduct start-up, normal operation, and shutdown as per OEM procedures and SOPs. Manage flue gas dampers and maintain optimal steam generation from waste heat gases. Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance of boiler and associated equipment. Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance activities. Maintain and document operational data, logbooks, MIS reports, and maintenance records. Ensure compliance with EHS policies and applicable regulatory requirements (MPCB, Factory Act, etc.). Report abnormalities immediately and assist in root cause analysis and resolution. Collaborate with maintenance, instrumentation, and control room teams for effective operations. Responsible for fostering a respectful and inclusive work environment,free from all forms of harassment and discrimination. ISO (9001, 14001, 45001 & 50001). Ensure adherence to integrated management systems related to quality, environment, occupational health & safety, and energy. Support audits and implement system improvements.
