Technical Business Analyst

Summary:

The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required scope and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of technical architecture and the ability to leverage SQL for data analysis and project insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Management:

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget.

• Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including developers, system administrators, and business analysts.

• Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies.

• Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and report on status to stakeholders.

Technical Understanding & Architecture:

• Possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and various technical architectures (e.g., cloud, on-premise, microservices).

• Collaborate with technical leads and architects to ensure project solutions align with architectural standards and best practices.

• Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making processes within the project team.

SQL Proficiency:

• Utilize SQL to query databases, extract data for analysis, and generate reports to support project decision-making.

• Understand database structures and relationships to effectively interpret and manipulate data.

• Potentially assist in data migration or validation efforts as part of project delivery.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project communication, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals and outcomes.

• Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to drive project progress.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2-3 years experience
• Proven experience as a BA.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
• Solid understanding of technical architecture principles and IT infrastructure.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• PMP or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
