About the Role

Xylem Learning is seeking an energetic and people-focused Team Leader for Academic Counsellors to lead, guide, and motivate a team of counsellors towards achieving enrolment and student success goals. This role requires a balance of sales management, performance monitoring, and coaching skills to ensure every counsellor performs at their best while delivering an excellent counselling experience for students and parents.

Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Performance

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of Academic Counsellors to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly enrolment targets.
  • Set clear performance benchmarks and monitor counsellors’ progress through regular reviews and dashboards.
  • Ensure high-quality counselling standards and adherence to organizational processes.

Training & Development

  • Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and role-based coaching to improve counsellors’ sales techniques, product knowledge, and counselling effectiveness.
  • Identify skill gaps and conduct refresher sessions as required.

Process & Quality Control

  • Monitor call quality, follow-ups, and CRM updates to maintain accuracy and professionalism in student/parent interactions.
  • Resolve escalated queries from students/parents and provide timely solutions.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Work closely with the Academic, Marketing, and Centre Management teams to align on program updates, campaigns, and strategies.
  • Prepare performance reports and share insights with management to improve team efficiency and conversion ratios.

Motivation & Culture Building

  • Foster a positive, target-driven, and supportive team environment.
  • Recognize high performers and encourage underperformers through structured feedback and incentives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 2–4 years of experience in academic counselling, sales, or educational services, with at least 1 year in a team leadership/supervisory role.

Skills Required

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Target-oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales/counselling goals.
  • Ability to analyze team performance data and implement corrective strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office Suite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
