Job Description

Job Title: Team Leader Fund Accounting Location: Mumbai Shift : US Shift (6:30pm IST to 3:30am IST) Key Responsibilities: Lead the fund accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records for Hedge Funds, Alternative Investments, private equity and debt funds. Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly fund investor allocations. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls. Review and approve management and performance fee calculations. Record daily expenses, accruals and interest receivables into accounting books. Oversee complex valuation methodologies for illiquid debt instruments including fair value assessments. Conduct financial analysis on fund performance and valuation accuracy. Supervise reconciliation of capital flows and fund transactions. Utilize financial systems to research and resolve portfolio issues. Provide leadership, mentoring, and training to team members. Collaborate with auditors, investors, and other stakeholders. Drive process improvements and efficiency in fund accounting operations. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification preferred. 7+ years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in private debt or alternative investments. Should have knowledge of Fund Accounting platforms. Geneva experience preferred. Proficiency in financial systems and data analytics tools.
