Team Lead- Fund Accounting

You will lead the fund accounting team to maintain accurate financial records for Hedge Funds, Alternative Investments, private equity, and debt funds. Your responsibilities include overseeing fund investor allocations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls, reviewing management and performance fee calculations, recording daily expenses, accruals, and interest receivables, and supervising valuation methodologies for illiquid debt instruments. Additionally, you will conduct financial analysis on fund performance, supervise capital flows reconciliation, and resolve portfolio issues using financial systems. Providing leadership, mentoring, and training to team members, collaborating with auditors, investors, and stakeholders, and driving process improvements in fund accounting operations are essential to this role. To qualify for this position, you should have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Possession of CA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification is preferred along with a minimum of 7 years of experience in fund accounting, particularly in private debt or alternative investments. Proficiency in Fund Accounting platforms, preferably Geneva, financial systems, and data analytics tools is required.
