Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for review complex returns - T1, T2, T3, T5013
- Provide tax compliance services to a wide range of corporate clients - Financial Services, Real Estates etc.
- Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) of any particular corporate tax technical topic. E.g. - Pre-post Amalgamation, acquisition, various tax credits, PLOI election, Thin Capitalization, deemed interest, Debt forgiveness etc.
- Perform the role of reviewer on all level complexity computations and tax return for technical accuracy in readiness for submission as per CoE program
- Identify any areas of perceived risk where technical positions may be incorrect or may require additional disclosure.
- To include the provision of technical guidance, review notes and feedback to individual preparers including guidance on any changes required.
- Up-front scoping and engagement planning with clients.
- Budget management/monitoring and assisting in the development of other staff as required.
- Provide support to the Tax Management and Leadership both in India and Canada with the implementation of various business strategies.
- Coach junior team members on both tax technical aspects and engagement delivery, which includes delegation and coaching.
- Play an active role as a Coach to Senior Associates in understanding their vision and goals. Motivating them towards achieving the project goals.
- Make use of available technologies and MI reports to manage the assigned team and engagements effectively and efficiently.
- Expand relationships within the firm, identifying opportunities and managing expectations and provide a best-in-class level of taxation services to your client base.
- Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and contribute to winning new clients to IAC India.
- In the role you will become involved in the running of the business in order to contribute to the growth and profitability of the business team.
- Also work towards continual development and involvement in the risk procedures for the business.
