Basic Qualifications
Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructureExperience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, RustExperience with Linux/UnixExperience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to junior engineers and team membersA day in the lifeAs a Systems Development Engineer, your daily activities might include:
Design And Development
- Designing and developing software applications, systems, or tools
- Writing, testing, and debugging code in various programming languages
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
Testing And Troubleshooting
- Conducting unit testing, integration testing, and system testing
- Identifying and resolving technical issues, bugs, and defects
- Troubleshooting system problems and implementing fixes
Collaboration And Communication
- Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand project needs
- Communicating technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborating with QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
Maintenance And Optimization
- Maintaining and updating existing systems, applications, and infrastructure
- Optimizing system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Implementing security measures and ensuring compliance with industry standards
Documentation And Knowledge Sharing
- Documenting technical designs, code, and system architecture
- Sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues and team members
- Maintaining technical documentation and knowledge bases
Other Activities
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to the improvement of the codebase
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and methodologies
- Attending meetings, conferences, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
