System Support Engineer

As a System Support Engineer in Pune with 2 to 4.5 years of hands-on experience in Support with networking exposure, your role will involve providing middleware support for Apache Web Server, Apache Tomcat, and Java-based applications. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining middleware components like Apache, Tomcat, Java, and SSL Certificates (WildFly, JBoss optional). Additionally, you will offer system administration support for Java applications across different environments, analyze logs and troubleshoot at server and application levels for issue identification and resolution, and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities: - Providing middleware support for Apache Web Server, Apache Tomcat, and Java-based applications. - Installing, configuring, and maintaining middleware components like Apache, Tomcat, Java, and SSL Certificates (WildFly, JBoss optional). - Offering system administration support for Java applications across different environments. - Analyzing logs and troubleshooting at server and application levels for issue identification and resolution. - Coordinating with internal teams and external vendors for system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Qualifications Required: - In-depth knowledge of setting up and tuning Apache and Apache Tomcat, including JVM optimization, thread, and connection settings. - Proficiency in troubleshooting Java applications, conducting root cause analysis from stack traces and log analysis. - Understanding of web application infrastructure tier and deployment processes. - Familiarity with networking concepts, including application-related ports and protocols. - Experience with source code repositories and tools like Bitbucket, TFS, Git and using JIRA for issue tracking and collaboration. Additionally, you should be experienced in performance tuning and environment optimization for Apache, Tomcat, and WildFly, conducting system analysis for identifying improvements and implementing fixes, creating technical documentation for installations, configurations, and SOPs, providing extended production support and on-call troubleshooting during critical incidents, and having a basic understanding of Azure Cloud, desktop support, and networking fundamentals.
