Job Description

Job Title: Systems Engineer

Duration: 6 months with high possible extension

Working hours: Full EST hours (night shift)

Location: 100% remote (India)

Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including but not limited to EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.
Assist in design, implementation, and maintenance of backup, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
Develop and monitor automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on prem resources.
Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement betterments to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency. Candidates must have working knowledge of monitoring platforms such as Data Dog, Orion, Nagios, WhatsUp Gold, etc…
Implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard cloud environments.
Administer company SaaS platforms to ensure the productivity of our users is our number one priority. (Okta, AWS Workspaces, etc..)
Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and support application deployments.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior cloud engineers and other team members.
Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices, and evaluate their applicability to our infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud solutions.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools (e.g., ECS, EKS) is a plus.
Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Proven hands-on experience supporting Okta SSO Platform
Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and routing.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
