Position:

Role Summary

The Supply Chain Manager will oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and distribution. The role ensures timely product availability, cost efficiency, and smooth coordination between manufacturing, sales, and distribution teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Demand & Supply Planning

  • Collaborate with sales and production teams to create monthly/quarterly demand forecasts.
  • Plan and optimize supply schedules to ensure zero stock-outs and minimal excess inventory.

2. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Manage sourcing of raw materials, packaging materials, and third-party manufacturing.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, lead times, and quality adherence.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.

3. Production & Inventory Management

  • Develop production plans based on demand projections.
  • Monitor plant capacity, material availability, and production timelines.
  • Implement inventory control systems to maintain optimal stock levels (RM, PM, FG).

4. Logistics & Distribution

  • Oversee transportation management, dispatch planning, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners for timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Manage distribution to GT, MT, and e-commerce channels.

5. Warehouse & Operations Management

  • Supervise warehouse operations including inward, outward, and storage.
  • Ensure adherence to FMCG warehousing standards and safety norms.
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO, stock audits, and warehouse efficiency improvements.

6. Process Optimization & Cost Control

  • Streamline supply chain processes to reduce cost and improve turnaround times.
  • Track KPIs such as OTIF, logistics cost, inventory turnover, and fill rate.
  • Drive supply chain automation and digital tools where possible.

7. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (FMCG/food safety norms).
  • Prepare weekly/monthly MIS reports for production, inventory, and dispatch.
  • Coordinate with finance for vendor payments, costing, and budget tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of FMCG supply chain experience (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, planning, logistics, and warehouse management.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle).
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
