Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Sourcing & Vendor Development
- Identify, scout, and onboard
FPOs, agri-commodity suppliers, traders, and aggregators
with scalable supply capabilities - Assess supplier readiness in terms of
quality, volume, compliance, and consistency
Build long-term sourcing partnerships across key agri commodities (grains, pulses, oilseeds, fruits, vegetables, spices, etc.)
Corporate Buyer & Trade Opportunities
- Leverage existing relationships with
corporate buyers, e-commerce platforms, Q-commerce players, processors, exporters, and large retailers
Identify credit-based supply opportunities
between suppliers and corporate buyers- Structure supply deals routed through
Crops Nexus’ trade finance model
Trade Finance & Deal Structuring
- Structure transactions where
Crops Nexus provides immediate payment
to suppliers/FPOs - Coordinate with internal credit, risk, and operations teams to ensure
safe absorption of credit risk
Ensure adherence to approved credit limits, tenor, and commercial terms
Relationship & Portfolio Management
- Manage ongoing supplier and buyer relationships
- Monitor supply execution, payment cycles, and buyer performance
- Proactively mitigate operational, credit, and supply chain risks
Market Intelligence & Growth
- Track agri commodity trends, pricing, seasonality, and demand patterns
- Identify new supply clusters, regions, and commodity opportunities
- Support expansion of Crops Nexus’ agri trade finance portfolio
Candidate ProfileMandatory Requirements
7–12+ years
of experience in Agri Supply Chain, Trade Finance, Commodity Trading, Agri-procurement, or B2B agri platforms
Existing customer base and strong relationships
with:- FPOs / Farmer groups / Agri suppliers
- Corporate buyers / large agri off-takers / agri-commerce platforms
- Proven experience handling
credit-based supply transactions
Strong understanding of:
Agri commodity supply chains
- Trade finance and working capital structures
- Credit risk and receivables management
Preferred Background
- Experience with agri-commerce companies, NBFCs, fintechs, commodity trading firms, procurement arms of corporates, or agri startups
- Exposure to sourcing for platforms like
Flipkart, Amazon, Ninjacart, BigBasket, Reliance, ITC, etc.
Knowledge of FPO structures, farmer aggregation models, and mandi/OTC trade
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and deal-structuring skills
- Ability to independently source and close transactions
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder coordination
- Commercial acumen with a risk-aware mindset
- Execution-focused and comfortable working in high-growth environments
