LearningMate is seeking passionate and experienced Subject Matter Experts (Mathematics) to join our growing team! We are looking for individuals to contribute to the development of high-quality educational materials for the US K-12 curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of education and work with a dynamic team.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide content and standards expertise in creating effective instructional/assessment materials.
  • Analyze standards and other curriculum requirements to develop blueprints, scope and sequences, and other project content-planning documents.
  • Write and edit educational materials (lessons, activities, assignments, assessment items, etc.) for assigned products and content areas.
  • Follow guidance to implement and ensure consistent application of instructional design and guidelines.
  • Create quality instructional components of print and digital products.
  • Communicate and collaborate within and across functional teams, as well as with vendors and independent contractors, to manage development efforts effectively.
  • Set priorities to meet deadlines for requested tasks and actively communicate the status with the project lead.
  • Update and revise existing content development documentation (process documents, guidelines, etc.).
  • Conduct content-related research as directed.
  • Utilize a variety of software and tools to complete job duties.
  • Contribute to projects on multiple products and outside of the primary area of expertise.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert as needed for support tickets.
  • Triage curriculum-specific client issues.
  • Provide 2nd tier support of our content for customers.
  • Resolve curriculum-specific bugs and report defects.
  • Interact with internal teams to resolve issues.
  • Respond to customers following team communication protocols.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree in education or in Mathematics
  • Experience with math instruction and/or curriculum development is required.
  • Experience with K-5 or 6-12 mathematics curriculum is required (depending on the position).
  • Familiarity with Illustrative Math is a plus.
  • Impeccable writing and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Superior written/oral communication skills; an ability to present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other productivity tools (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to complete simple and complex projects, prioritize multiple deliverables, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and flexible while managing shifting internal expectations.
  • Strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a proactive approach to ensure high-quality work.
