Summary
Overview
The Strategy Senior Manager’s role is to lead to execution of C1’s “4-3-1 Operational Strategy”. This role supports strategic planning, initiative management, organizational alignment & resource planning and communications. This position applies proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of C1 investments.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Meets with SVP, Strategic Operations and ELT members leading our 4-3-1 strategy definition to define the phased execution plan, resource planning & organizational impact, technology needs and investment areas to successfully deliver against our strategy
- Assists in conducting data & analysis on business operations including sales productivity, head & tail (top 200 accounts) growth and support optimization and progress against financial targets including Top-line Revenue and EBITDA.
- Creates an organization-wide scorecard management against key tenants of the strategy and updates for the ELT and board of directors on a monthly basis identifying key risks and opportunities
- Partners with Strategy Associate to provide project management oversight across key initiatives to ensure progress against C1’s overall timeline
- Partners with Finance, Information Technology, Marketing and Human Resources to understand dependencies and synergies across the strategy value unlock areas
- Partners with Marketing to create a communication framework to effectively share the Strategy approach and execution progress to the broader organization
- Analyzes and verifies strategic inputs from across the Strategy working teams for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
- Establishes & recommends practices and procedures that work towards the continuous improvement of the strategy process
- Contributes to monthly strategy updates and progress reports
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- College diploma or university degree in business administration, marketing & communications or equivalent work experience
- 10 + years of Strategy Consulting experience (Proven experience with strategy definition, execution and project management)
- Proven data analysis, project management, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent MS Office proficiency (specifically Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience with formal project management methodologies
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal to interface with senior executives
- Exemplary attention to detail
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with core software applications, including Microsoft Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams
- Experience importing data for use in report software, spreadsheets, graphs, and flow charts
- Experience creating project charters, process diagrams, functional specifications, report layouts, training materials, and use cases
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to be self-motivating and work independently
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
