The typical responsibilities of the ideal candidate would be

Research and Market Intelligence:

  • Conduct in-depth secondary research on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities relevant to the firm.
  • Track regulatory developments, technology trends, and market movements impacting the firm’s service lines.
  • Prepare sector briefs, benchmarking reports, and thought leadership inputs for internal use.


Data Analysis and Interpretation

  • Support analysis of firm internal data across disciplines such as website data, customer analysis, business profitability.
  • Break down internal strategic problems using structured frameworks and hypothesis-driven thinking.
  • Analysing global trends in accounting and consulting domain and providing summaries to management


Support Firm Strategic Initiatives

  • Support strategic projects such as new service development, market entry assessments, digital transformation, pricing projects, or organisational efficiency studies.
  • Conduct data-driven assessments of internal processes and propose improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Operations, Service Line Leaders) to collect data and prepare structured analysis for leadership.


Knowledge and Database Building

  • Develop sector primers, competitor decks, and internal learning material for leadership and service line teams.
  • Support preparation of internal strategy workshops, annual planning meetings, and leadership offsites.
  • Build reusable tools and templates to improve consistency and speed of internal analysis.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields from a Top Tier Commerce College of India/ USA.
  • Prior internship or experience in consulting, research, cross-functional projects, or corporate strategy.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify insights, and connect them to business implications.
  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA/PGDM/MA Economics or equivalent), but not mandatory for high-performing freshers.
  • High proficiency in Artificial Intelligence (coding experience not necessary), MS Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of data tools (Power BI/Tableau/SQL) is an advantage.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with ability to prepare crisp executive-level outputs.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Curiosity, high ownership, and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Comfort working with confidential information and senior stakeholders.
  • Interest in professional services, accounting, taxation, consulting, or regulatory domains.
