Partnership Allocation and Capital Specialists work in concert with our local offices to develop, implement and maintain models to allocate taxable income among partners and maintain capital account records. Sr. Managers on his team are responsible for managing multiple projects and staff, leading trainings, and coordinating with other specialists and local teams. The Role: Utilize firm standard tools and software to compute allocations of section 704(b) income, maintain and allocate adjustments under sections 704(c) and 743, and maintain section 704(b) and tax capital records. Interpret operating agreements and other documents to determine their impact on allocations and capital and work with staff to create client specific models. Understand complex sections 704(b), 704(c) and other SubChapter K concepts and issues to team members, local offices, and clients. Act as a member of the engagement team for private equity funds, their portfolio companies and other crown jewel clients. Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Commerce, Accounting or related field. 2-3 years of experience in partnership taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm; or equivalent in industry or with a law firm.
