Role Overview

Store Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities

1. Merchandising & Display

  • Execute in-store product displays in line with Asuka Couture’s luxury merchandising guidelines.
  • Highlight new launches, bestsellers, and celebrity-inspired looks across ethnic wear, western wear, and tuxedos.
  • Maintain store aesthetics to reflect the brand’s premium identity.

2. Inventory & Stock Management

  • Track stock availability, replenishment, and inter-store transfers.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports on fast-moving and slow-moving merchandise.
  • Ensure stock accuracy in coordination with backend/central team (CT).

3. Order Coordination (Customer & Backend)

  • Coordinate

    customer orders

    (custom, ready-to-wear, or made-to-measure) with the backend/central team for timely execution.
  • Track order status, alterations, and dispatches; update sales team and customers accordingly.
  • Ensure smooth communication between store, backend production, and logistics to meet delivery timelines.
  • Maintain records of pending, completed, and escalated orders.

4. Sales & Customer Support

  • Support the sales team with styling inputs and product knowledge.
  • Assist in upselling and cross-selling by aligning customer preferences with available and upcoming stock.
  • Provide backend team with feedback on customer demand trends.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with backend/central team for inventory flow, order status, and delivery schedules.
  • Align with marketing for campaigns, events, and promotions.
  • Collaborate with designers for collection presentation at the store.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong eye for fashion and luxury product presentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage orders and backend coordination.
  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets for order tracking and reporting.
  • Effective communication and follow-up skills to liaise with backend teams.
  • Knowledge of luxury retail standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in luxury fashion retail (menswear experience preferred).
  • Prior experience in

    order management and backend coordination

    is highly desirable.
