Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in maintaining accurate financial records, performing daily accounting activities, and supporting the month-end closing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Maintain and update fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.
• Assist with payroll processing and tax filings, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Experience in GST returns filing, time to time reconciliation of input and output tax, tax credit availed etc., keeping track of all GST related matters, making sure no compliance and/or due dates missing issues relating to filing matters.
• Help in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during the audit process.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/MBA/M.Com.
• CA/CWA inter is preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting or related financial roles.
• Strong understanding of Ind AS and US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Proficiency in ERP software (SAP) and hands on in Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
