Job role: Perform Validation and Verification of Fire domain products-new product Development and/or Sustenance products. Deliver the product with quality. Identify automation opportunities and implement in the program to achieve cost and quality benefits. Experience: Lead Engineer- 8 - 11 years Key responsibilities: Participation in software and embedded firmware product development teams Create detailed test plans and test cases Design, implement, and document tests, and define corrective actions if bugs are identified Perform thorough regression testing to close out corrective actions for bug resolution Review system requirements and technical design documentation, and track quality assurance metrics Identify Automation opportunities Contribution to all the phases of test life cycle (TLC) including preparation of Test Plans, Test cases, Review, Test setup, Test execution and Test Reporting Ability to work on both Hardware and Software based products such as Fire Panels and devices, and PC based Applications Able to take complete ownership of the Quality Assurance for a Product or a module Able to work individually or as a part of a team based on project needs Flexible working on manual and automation testing based on business needs Adherence to process and product quality requirements and processes Demonstrate to be a team player by coordinating in a timely manner with in-house and remote stake holders Innovative mindset to Identify and propose solutions to improve process and products Own & drive the execution end to end without any schedule slippage Commitment and dedication throughout the project life cycle and quality delivery Ability to understand UL/FM standards Primary Skills Required Strong hands-on experience in embedded products quality assurance – complete life cycle of the project safety critical product (i.e. UL/FM) Hands on experience in quality assurance & quality control activities such as test planning, test case preparation, test setup preparation, execution, reporting results Hands on experience on embedded software development process Well versed with software QA methodologies, Tools and processes Experience in working on Atlassian Suite tools such as JIRA, Confluence, X-RAY, any other quality management tool (ex: HP-ALM) Working experience in validating Hardware based products and systems Quickly Learns technologies and tools and contributes to product quality Active participation in knowledge transfer Contributes ideas on product and process improvements Flexible to work on manual testing and automation based on business need. Adhere to the Automation Framework for Fire/Control Systems domain products and enhancements Learn & implement appropriate automation technologies to meet the short- and long-term goals of the company Hands on experience on any programming languages (C#) and such as Python Basic understanding of communication protocols (ex: serial, I2c, Bluetooth) Experience in windows UI automation using C# Secondary (Desired) Skills Required: Industrial products / fire systems domain knowledge is preferable Basic understanding of embedded concepts and testing experience in communication protocols Working experience in validating Hardware based products and systems Work experience in embedded firmware development Self-starting/self-motivating individual, able to plan and achieve goals with minimal supervision Team player mentality with strong facilitation/interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to continuous process improvement Can handle multiple activities at once to accomplish goals Good to have basic knowledge on LabVIEW (NI applications), Advantech Learn and implement appropriate automation technologies to meet the short- and long-term goals of the company. We are seeking a dynamic Electrical Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. Key Responsibilities: System Design & Development: Lead the detailed design and development of microcontroller, microprocessor, FPGA, and SoC-based hardware platforms, including support for DDR, SDRAM, Flash memory, and high-speed interfaces. Define both high-level system architecture and detailed low-level circuit designs. Design, modify, and validate complex electronic systems involving analog circuits, digital logic, high-speed interfaces, displays, RF, and antenna subsystems. Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical specifications, product requirements, schematics, BOMs, and design documents. Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date and reflects any design modifications or enhancements. Hardware Integration & Validation: Perform circuit simulations, tolerance analysis, signal integrity checks, and design validation tests. Component Selection & Value Engineering: Select components considering cost, performance, availability, and lifecycle. Drive initiatives around obsolescence management, component derating, and value engineering. PCB Design & Fabrication Support: Provide layout guidelines and constraints to PCB designers. Review PCB layouts for best practices, high-speed constraints, and manufacturability. Manage and maintain PCB Gerber files and fabrication documentation. Testing & Compliance: Develop FMEA and manufacturing test plans. Work with internal and third-party test labs to ensure products meet regulatory and certification requirements (FCC, CE, UL, etc.). Debug hardware and support firmware teams in system bring-up and performance optimization. Process & Communication: Adhere to internal hardware/firmware development processes and recommend improvements. Effectively communicate architecture concepts, design decisions, test results, and project status to cross-functional teams and leadership. Work Experience: 14+ Years of total work Experience Required Technical Skills: The experience and skills required include but are not limited to the following: Min 14+ yrs industry experience in the area of embedded systems and hardware development. Experience in micro-controller & FPGA based designs for communication interfaces like I2C, SPI, RS232, RS485, CAN, BLE, Wi-Fi Chipset, cellular modules, wireless modules and external memories, LCD & touch screen interfaces etc. Experience in the RFFE design, antenna selection and tuning. Proficiency in Schematic capture tools like Orcad/PADS/Altium is a must. Proficiency in circuit analysis, circuit simulation using PSpice/Mathcad/Matlab and circuit tolerance analysis is required. Exposure to PCB layout tools like Allegro/PADS/Altium layout is required. Experience with microcontrollers/microprocessor applications using PICxxx series, TI’s MSPxxx series, NXP, Renesas devices, etc. Experience in Programming languages like C and Assembly, a plus. Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation techniques. Experience in testing of high speed boards using standard lab equipment. Preferred Technical Skills: Experience in Electronic Controls design Experience in Power Electronics, LCD Screens & Touch Screens. Knowledge of protocols like WiFi (IEEE 802.11), Bluetooth, BLE and Zigbee (IEEE 802.15). Experience in RF circuit design and PCB layout of embedded wireless systems like WiFi/Bluetooth/Zigbee/ISM band (900 MHz/2.4 GHz) radio systems. Experience in Design for EMI/EMC Testing Experience in Fire and Security domain Systems is a plus Strong technical systems background, Solid written and verbal communication skills Ability to understand and document legacy systems designed by others is a plus. Academic Qualifications BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electronics & Instrumentation, Power electronics Engineering from an accredited university/college.
